An increase in wages can be good news, especially when a large part of the labor force in the country benefits from this increase. Albania now has a new law on salaries in the public administration, where there was a big increase in the salaries of deputies, the president and some high officials. The salaries of the administration also had an increase, at least on paper, which will be finalized at the end of 2024. But the allowance for these is several times smaller than that of senior officials.
